Senior Piping stress Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform stress analysis and provide solutions for complex piping systems using industry-standard software (e.g., CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or similar tools).
• Analyze and validate piping system designs to ensure they comply with relevant codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ASME B31.3, etc.).
• Review and approve detailed stress reports, calculations, and simulations for piping systems under various load conditions, including thermal, seismic, and pressure loads.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, project managers, and procurement teams, to ensure the design meets project requirements and deadlines.
• Provide technical expertise during design, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring that any piping-related issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical methodologies, and career development.
• Conduct site visits to assess and review piping systems during construction and commissioning.
• Interface with clients and contractors to resolve technical queries and support project deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience in piping stress analysis, design, and engineering within the power, oil, or gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of piping codes, standards, and regulations (ASME, ANSI, etc.).
• Proficient in using stress analysis software like CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, or similar tools.
• Experience in designing and analyzing piping systems in power plants, oil & gas facilities, or chemical plants.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications in piping engineering or related fields.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software and experience working with design tools such as PDMS or SP3D.
• Experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis and materials selection for piping systems.
