Commis I (Indian)

About The Role :
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis I (Indian) to join our culinary team in Gandhinagar, India. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in preparing authentic Indian cuisine and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Assist in the preparation and execution of Indian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services

Support senior chefs in various kitchen sections, including hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and tandoor

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food delivery

Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and supply ordering

Participate in menu development and the creation of new dishes

Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all prepared items

Adapt to changing priorities and assist in other kitchen areas as needed

Qualifications

Passion for Indian cuisine and a strong desire to learn and grow in the culinary field

Basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and flavor profiles

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Detail-oriented approach to food preparation and presentation

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

Basic food safety and hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)

Knowledge of tandoor, salads, and cold kitchen preparations (preferred)

Culinary diploma or relevant experience in a professional kitchen (preferred)

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively

Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences
