Round: Group Activity
Experience: The interview was held on Jan 13, 2011. There was written test, which was attended by approximately 50 number of students from under as well as post graduate programs, whereas im an under graduate student.

As a result of written test they shortlisted 16members and they were divided into two groups for group discussion. the topic which was given to my batch was "Entry of Film actors into politics" and we were given with 10minutes to discuss on the topic, all the seven people supported the entry of film actors into politics except myself, I boldly pointed out my points stating that they acted as hero in the big screen and they want to remain so in the real life also. upon completing the discussion, the interviewers stated all the people accepted the film actors entry into politics in this discussion except one. this statement makes me confident that I will be shortlisted for the final interview and that comes true as soon as the shortlisted list has been pasted.

I was made to wait for some minutes and the executives called one-by-one for the personal interview. finally they called me and I entered the room with a smile on my face and they asked me to take my seat and I pleased them with Thank you and smile on my face. the first question they asked me is the most experienced question in my life 'what does your name LOGULASELVAN means? I explained Logam means world and selvan means rich man. after that asusual tell me about yourself and I told my childhood then my college life, then my extra curriculum in college and about the project. the next question is about my project, I told the topic of project 'Design and Fabrication of mechanically operated escalator' and drew the design of it and explained them. The company is actualy about Refrigeration and my specialisation is Production engineering, so they asked me "You are doing noble project related to your studies but refrigeration is slightly far away from my subject,it wont affect your career?"
I replied patiently, "yeah, ofcourse, but i would get some knowledge about refrigetion, it would help me to improve myself in various subjects". they were very pleased with that answer and the next question they positively asked me, "have you been to mumbai anytime and do u know hindi?" as the selected candidates are to be posted in mumbai. I said 'No' for both. they again asked me how you have been to North, I just answered Ennore, which is at northern extreme of chennai, they got laughter and they queried me "Are willing to work in Mumbai?" I positively answered with a great smile in my face, "Yeah why not, my school days are in Karur, college days in chennai nad it will be my pleasure to work at Mumbai." Then they nodded their head and wished me "Thank you, had a nice time with you", I too wished them in same manner and left the room with confidence and it remained the same until the results been announced after few minutes.

They announced the results and my name is in the list amongst the five short listed candidates. they wished us and gave a form to fill, which has to be submitted next at the corporate office in chennai. It was the eve of pongal festival, those professionals wished us "Happy Pongal" and left the campus.........

Experience: Focussed on basic english, logical and quantitative reasoning. Technical aptitude focussed on basics of the concerned subject
Tips: Practice makes you perfect.
Since there are group cut offs, try to attempt at least half the questions of each group. then come back to complete the group later.
Duration: 60 minutes
Total Questions: 75

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Enough time was given to assess your points.
Tips: Basic rules of a GD..

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Very proffesional but cordial envoirnment
Tips: Thorough knowledge of subject is a must.

General Tips: Stay calm, think before you talk and be confident.
Skills: Soft skills, Technical knowledge
