Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Interview
Tips: Most of the technical interviews revolve around the projects and internships done and they check how thorough you are with themIt also helps to know other basic engineering topics like strength of materials, FEM, etc.If you are not comfortable in any subject, you can always build on the ones that you are good at. You will be evaluated on your depth in your chosen subjectBe ready for technical questions, basics in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, structures, etc. Go through the basic core courses

Round: Interview
Tips: The HR round for ETLP primarily tried to see how the candidate deals with conflicts in the team which he may be leading. This they do by telling the candidate to recount stories from life where they either learned something, or had to implement a solution which didn't work, or had to settle a dispute and so onQuestions might be about any times you went against authority, when you had a bad relationship with someone and how you sorted it out, strengths, weaknesses, etc. There are standard convincing, sometimes untruthful, redundant answers. Avoid them, it makes things much simpler

General Tips: 1.Write down all the possible questions and answers in a note and keep browsing it. It varies from person to person. Some people can speak their mind well without having a written material.2.It's also important that the candidate be in control of where the interview is going so that he can bring it to his strong points.3.Project matching their profile.4.Communication skills. With experience, one learns how to speak to managers, what they expect, etc.5.Have a very good idea of who you are and what you want.6.Stay calm and confident. Know very well about the company and prepare with the attitude that this isn't your last resort, but with humility and seriousness. They can easily identify over confidence and carefree attitude and might result in rejection. This is true for mech. core companies. They prefer hard working, organized and disciplined people.
Skill Tips: Brush through the projects done and also refresh basic engineering subjects like strength of materials, detail design, basic elec, etc.Focus on courses that you really like and know them in and out. Speaking with confidence really helps
Skills: Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Strength of Materials, FEM

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - Interviewer was Sridhar Kethari.
His intention for the interview was not recruitment. He wanted to digout some intellectual idea from me (Interviewee), so might he can use it in his work. Neither he had any knowledge on aerospace standards and requirement.

He was not at all prepared with the interview questions and argued on wrong facts to prove he was correct because he was the interviewer. In technical questions, his negative attitude did not work. So he came down to an extend of hypocrisy asking questions in "ODD TONE", why did i left company X and company Y ???

Again, the interviewer's intention was not hiring. Mr. Sridhar Kethari had a negative attitude and behaviour in the complete interview process. I will always avoid working in such workplace and with such person (Mr. Sridhar Kethari) being my manager.

  • Q4. Interviewer (Pradeep Biradar) did not had the intention for recruitment. He was demoralising about the position and the company.

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I was interviewed with Eaton by Pradeep Birader. He introduced himself as some manager. Twice interview was postponed. Later in the interview Mr. Pradeep Biradar started showing his true colour with absolutely absurd questions.

What happens if someone senior in the company doesn’t share technical facts, what will you do??? Management wants you to deliver from first day! All such absurd and nonsense question.

Then he switched his question, what if 70% documentation work given to you for next 2 years, what will you do?
Obviously management should know this better!

All kind of baseless and nonsense questions from the interviewer. Do not know authenticity and credibility of these person. As if he is coming from a roadside slum.

My answer was clear, if someone not willing to share technical details of project than leadership should take care of this. If 70% of documentation work is there, you must hire a technical writer.

Then clearly I showed my disinterest for this position!

This is how some incompetent and incredible people spoils good positions and working culture of good companies.
