Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: It was an unconventional recruitment process with this company. The interview began with the job consultants in the organisation's Bangalore branch. They asked several randomised questions on the basis of my resume and its contents. This is followed by an interview with the co-founder of your organisation. He asked similar questions based on my resume and about certain details in it which he curious about. Along with that, he was asking about my perception regarding the organisation and the job role.

Note: the entire interview with the consultants and the co founder was an conversational manner, without any particular order to the questions and to any subject, which is why I have not mentioned any relevant questions in the above tab. The questions of the interviewers developed as per the progress of the interview and as per my responses were leading them to.
Tips: If the ground follows a pattern similar to my interview process then above average communication skills and Presence of Mind is key for giving relevant answers to the questions and for understanding the pattern of the questions and what can be asked in a good.

Round: Behavioural Interview
Experience: This interview was with the second co-founder of the organisation. It was a video interview via Skype when he asked questions regarding my research aptitude and my likes and dislikes and what I'm looking forward to in the job role and in the Organisation. I had similar rounds with 2 other co-founders (in total 4 co-founders) which followed the same pattern.

Well the questions were only for one-third of the interview time; the majority of the interview went by as the co-founder spoke about the company and how it can help me develop a part of my current location and how useful the experience between for my technical and personal growth.
Tips: This round again followed the conversational style of an interview. The tips provided for the previous round holds good for this round as well.

Round: Finalisation Round
Experience: The final interview with all the members of the Bangalore branch, where each of them wanted to get to know me. Post that the interview went on about the duties and functions of a concern job role and the compensation for that role. We discussed the concerns each of us had regarding this opportunity.

I regard this as an interview round because they were evaluating my responses during the discussions regarding the role and it's compensation and they were trying to gauge my thinking process and my exact expectations from the company.
Tips: Clarity and no-ambiguity on part of the candidate while discussing the terms of the role is essential in this regarding.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test had a few additional general questions at the end. Overall, the test was okay and a few correct answers should do the trick (there was negative marking, I think).

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: For Marketing people

General Tips: My experience was fun, I may even have got lucky. The interviewer was very cool throughout the process. Be positive, don't get disheartened at any point of time.
Skill Tips: A firm grip on the fundamentals should be fine. If you have time, a little practice on quant questions is cool. Preparing a good CV is very important. Your CV represents you, so make sure the interviewer gets to see the better part of you. During the interview, stay calm and confident. Try to showcase your negatives into positives by exposing them before the interviewer could find them out for you. Prepare yourself well before the interview. A good knowledge about the company is a powerful tool. At the end of the interview, ask questions about anything - about the role you are being offered, the company competition etc., Brings a feel you are interested in their company.
