I applied for HR Generalist position in LinkedIn for SKAPS Industries. I was called for initial round of discussion by HR Team located in Corporate office in Gujarat. After few days I was asked to visit their Chennai plant to have discussion with Plant-HR for a discussion.
After few days I was called for second of interview and finally I was shortlisted and given Offer for the applied position. In the letter designation mentioned as HR & Admin and no mention of reporting manager.
The notice period mentioned in offer letter after probation of 6 months on confirmation is 30 days. No notice period during probation. I mentioned my date of joining as 15 days and got delayed by few days due to my personal reasons and I informed the concerned HR hiring person. I requested for Senior HR Generalist position as I was looking for my career growth and the position I applied was replacement for Senior Executive.
However the HR Manager has not agreed to my request and states that the workforce is minimum and they not in a position to offer my requested designation. Upon asking them to state the reasons for not providing the Senior designation, I was informed by the HR Manager that I was rejected and cancelled my offer for joining.
The behavior exhibited by HR Manager is highly unprofessional and unethical. Why a candidate is not provided the designation for replacement of same position and also having relevant experience and skills for the same.
