Round: Test
Experience: Very basic(class 7 level) english, quant and DI from CAT preparation will do. I was asked to estimate the number of newspapers I would buy if I am a supplier for the campus. Then slightly complicated the problem four or five times.
Tips: Try to answer as many questions as possible--the test is the one major criterion for selection.
Total Questions: 65
Round: Guesstimate Interview
Experience: One-on-one interview.Basic guess estimation and details about your projects. Try to show you have some knowledge in mathematics.
Round: HR Interview
Experience: HR interview--A panel of 4 or 5 people(who have taken the individual interviews in round I).
Tips: Be confident and try not to tell something which you can’t defend.
General Tips: As is the case for most companies, CAT preparation will definitely help. I don’t think much focus was was given on the essay but the other sections of the test are really important.

General Tips: KGPians have to be a little more in the know-how of latest trends in IT and programming language landscape. KGPians don’t do group projects much, specially group programming/software project. Be affirmative about your abilities and be more clear in your intent, in interviews.
Skill Tips: Must: minimum CGPA of 8. they reduced the gpa requirement to 7.9 but they maintain final gpa must be 8. Good to have: Some knowledge of programming languages,databases,Algorithms. Tips: Almost everyone felt the time crunch., but the key is to maintain focus and yes no negative marking so informed guesses are a must.Prepare well for the test especially Quant+ RCs+DI.
Duration: 60 minutes

Experience: GD was case study based. We were divided into groups of 8 and then we were allotted around 20 minutes to discuss the problem among ourselves and then finally come up with a solution which was to be demonstrated on a flip-chart and then was to be presented in about 8-10 min

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: 1.Clear regarding the profile
2.Impressed with my Group Interview and was called for the next round before GIs got over
3. Justification for the profile is good
Tips: (Be careful with the financial terms you use)
General Tips: They will start with a specific question and they dig deeper. Stay calm, chill panel. Prepare the HR given above

Experience: I had sent my resume to the hiring group, Selection through telephonic interviews. I was interviewed by three different research groups (once by each).
Tips: Factors in decreasing order of importance: CGPA each stage. Ability to explain your projects precisely. Ability to solve ''standard" logarithmic problems. The way you think and put down your Answer is the most important. The final answer .s not so I important, and they prod you when you think out aloud anyway.
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Almost- by default they ask about your previous projects/internships if they are relevant to the group. Ofher questions depend on the group you are interviewed by and your own profile, In my case it was machine learning, text mining etc. I was told about the research problem they were dealing with then and asked f or comments/suggestions/.inputs and a discussion followed.
Tips: Basically these are specialized Interviews so it's good to have sound knowledge of your domain (analytical and application skills are very much required).
Skill Tips: CGPA>9.0, 1f not (like me) relevant work done in the domain and in past internship.A recommendation from the professor is also a good add on.
