Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - The role of an Equity advisor has changed over the years. Now this job role has become more Dynamic. Earlier Broking companies focused more on brokerage for revenue generation, but as the discount brokers came and changed the whole game, brokerage as a revenue fell drastically for full time broking companies. Now fulltime Broking companies focus on other sources of revenue a such as TPP( Insurance) Products and Subscription Products to make up some of the revenue lost due decrease in Brokerage rates. One has to understand these dynamics and Prepare himself accordingly for the Job role. Responsibilities include a wide variety of work ranging from solving customer queries, punching orders on behalf of he client, revenue generation through Brokerage and cross selling of Financial products mentioned above, to opening of new accounts. Company provides Sales training for selling Third party products so a fresher dont have to worry about this.
