Case study on 4 day work week using RCA

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - There were four rounds of interviews, starting with one hour behavioural around, writing sample, case study and final interview for cultural fit. The overall recruitment process is very disorganised as I applied for this role in October before Diwali and the HR got back to me in November end. It's almost as of September 2024 they have this position open and cannot fill it up I had qualified until the case study round which was a very negative experience overall the interviewer was from a senior position. This round requires you to have business acumen and use the RCA technique to perform well enough. It seems to me that the expectations are unreasonably high for a fresher level role and they want someone who is a jack of all trades and they don't have to provide the necessary training once the person joins. Worst, they called their recruitment process a very high standard as an excuse but this is a very wrong culture, especially for freshers starting their career as they're looking for highly technical skills. My writing sample and behaviour round went super well but the ultimate deciding factor for them was the case study round. I think it just shows how rigid they are and how they willingly ignore my other capabilities and stuck on that one round to make a decision. Would have been better if they just took the case stud round first if they were so specific on that skill set instead of wasting my time. The interviewer for the case study round was very rude and over confident on his skills and expertise that he wasn't willing to fully listen to me or let me complete my answer it felt like he already knew he didn't find me a fit. Gartner could be a good organisation overall but I think individuals in this company such as the one interviewing for this role is not doing any justice to the good reputation.

Interview Preparation Tips

Topics to prepare for Milliman Senior QA Engineer interview:
  • API Testing
  • Agile Methodology
  • Database Testing
  • Manual Testing
  • STLC
  • Procedures
  • build deployment
Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - They are more focused on API testing work. Questions related to manual testing are kind of simple. Some scenario based questions on testing, related to experience. Also asking for automation testing experience, although HR said only manual testing is required
Every technical interviewer was interested in knowing the CTC, which generally does not happen.
HR said its a hybrid role, also specified in job description but director said he wants people to come daily especially new joiners.
They have different policies for new joiners who are on probation period as compared to their old employees.
HR does not give apt response, interview process is very messed up. She will mostly avoid your calls of follow-ups. Firstly my profile was rejected within 3-4 days during profile shortlisting, then magically I received online test invite and then eventually interviews occur. But after 3rd round, I was rejected again via mail by HR (with no feedback obv) and that too when I tried to follow up with her after 4 days of giving 2nd technical interview. Hiring process is quite messed up and needs some refinment
Also the online test conducted by wheebox has a lot of technical glitches, not a smooth process.
Seem like their budget was quite less which was not told in earlier stages by HR.

Interview Preparation Tips

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - - I would say do not waste your time on this. Just keep it running in the backend.
- I made the mistake of spending too much time on this alongside my busy job. Even though all the interviews went very well, I did not receive the job offer and they just sent me a simple rejection template email after I invested 2 months of my time and had given 6 rounds of interviews.
- I don't know how the culture at the company is, if it is not decent enough to send me the feedback (even after requesting it) given that I invested so much of my time and even the interviewers were impressed with my interviews.
