Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - 1) Read your CV atleast 3 times before attending the interview
2) Set time for preparation. Do not walk into any interview unprepared. If you are unprepared, you will be taken as a non serious candidate.
3) Dress well. it doesn't mean you have to wear new dress. It should be neat and well ironed. A blazer would add value.
4) In the CV, if you have quoted statistical data, be ready to explain clearly what the data stand for.
5) Be composed during the whole interview process.
6) If the interview is through ZOOM or any other media, ensure that you are in a good data bandwidth place so that there is no disturbance.
7) First impression is the best Impression. Sleep well, the night before the interview, so that you are fresh. if you are tired, you will not be able to present the facts clearly.
8) Be honest. Any iota of doubt will go against you. Remember, no one is perfect in this world. Everyone have had mistakes in life. Admit the errors or mistakes that you would have committed and speak about the lessons that you have learned and how you have corrected yourself.
9) Read the website of the company. collect as much information possible about the company. if you can relate your interview points with the company's performance or achievement, you will be able to impress much better.
10) Body language is important. Look at the eyes and speak. That will show how confident you are.
11) Greet pleasantly.
12) Wait till the interviewer ask you to take your seat. Once he/ she says, take your seat, say thank you and sit down. Do not drag the chair and make a noise while sitting in the chair.
13) Either switch off the mobile or keep it in silent mode.
14) Some of the interviewers, will repeat the questions by rephrasing it to see whether you are giving the same answer. Be alert.
15) If you haven't understood any question, do not hesitate to ask to repeat or rephrase it.
