Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The above questions were distributed among 4 round of technical interviews. 2 were face to face while 2 were on call. The interviews were smooth. The case based questions required some assumptions to be made there and then. The interviewer wanted to know the broad thinking of how a problem is being approached then make proper assumptions and come to an answer.
Tips: Prepare for guesstimate questions and puzzles. They check for communication skills as well as analytical skills.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The interview happened on call and was more of an invite to the technical round than an interview.
Tips: Just know about GEP as to what it does and where it operates etc.

General Tips: Be ready to work in shift timings if this is your targeted company.
Skill Tips: Be confident in what you say and be thorough with cost accounting concepts to go through the cost analysis questions.

Experience: A generic round, meant to test self confidence and clarity of thoughts!

Round: Case Study Interview
Experience: They are more interested in your approach and considerations and not the final answer. Start by the costs involved, factors affecting the revenue,etc
Tips: Ask a lot of questions, state all your assumptions.

Round: Guesstimate Interview
Experience: Similar to the prev round. They are testing your approach and what all factors you consider and how structured is your thought process

Skill Tips: Just observe things around you and build guesstimate questions for yourself. There are a lot of guesstimate materials available online, but I would say keen observation and inquisitiveness is the key
