Solar PV works by converting sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic cells.

Solar PV systems consist of solar panels made up of photovoltaic cells.
When sunlight hits the solar panels, the photovoltaic cells absorb the photons and generate an electric current.
This electric current is then converted from DC (direct current) to AC (alternating current) using an inverter.
