Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I wanted to share my feedback on the recent interview I had. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.

It seemed the interviewer had specific answers or candidate should be rejected in mind and expected those exact responses, without considering others' experience or perspective.

Here are a few points from the interview, which gets started without asking about someone's basic information:

1. First Question:

Difference Between ref and out This question seemed inappropriate for someone with 12.8 years of experience. I explained why we use it and its difference and mentioned it's an outdated technique. I also shared that using tuples is a more modern approach, as detailed here: -----/

Despite this, the interviewer was not convinced. It's important to recognize that with newer .NET versions (Framework 4+, Core 3, 5, 6, 7, 8), coding techniques evolve, and answers should reflect current best practices. I started my career with .net in 2011 is completely different now and a specific documented answer is impossible.

2. OAuth and Token Authentication

When asked about OAuth, I began explaining it, but the interviewer quickly shifted the focus to token authentication alone and did not accept my explanation. I offered to demonstrate using my own realtime hobby project which uses Blazor and Web API, but he declined, stating he didn't have 2-3 minutes for a detailed explanation.

3. Logic App Interview Questions

Despite repeatedly requesting you the background information on logic app interview, I received specific questions without context.
For example, the question about a logic app calling a function app that takes 2-3 minutes to complete was problematic. My responses included: It won't work and will break. The function app should be optimized.
Certain properties can be added to handle this. System architecture may have flaws that need fixing.The interviewer rejected all these answers. Given the complexity and numerous 1000+ components of Logic Apps (as detailed here: -----), it's unreasonable to expect very specific answers to broad questions.


I hope this feedback helps in improving the interview process. It's crucial to ensure that interviews are a two-way street, where candidates are evaluated fairly, and their time and experience should be respected.
