Round: Test
Tips: Common misunderstanding:- written test = quantitative aptitude.
Other sections must be covered as well.- LR, DI, verbal & non verbal problems etc.Try to cover maximum types of topics with a basic knowledge of each type, rather than practicing a few topic very deeply.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: Reading the newspaper is sufficient.
Tips: Reading the newspaper is sufficient.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The panel was quite cooperative, except for one member,( he remained stiff and quite strict, not at all polite, used to ask questions out of nowhere & expected brief answers and interrupted in case they went any longer ). This obviously was a part of their approach, to check how I reacted to sudden strict questions.

Questions were mainly technical, along with some general queries related to family, hobbies & interests, what have you learned from your hobbies or simple basic questions to check whether you're lying.

Body language was being observed keenly.

There is no point rushing things and ending up being choked, looking for proper words to complete the sentence. (happens a lot in interviews)
I took my time in answering the questions, whenever i needed to think.
Tips: Know your strength as well as the weak points and be prepared with strong, positive answers.

Skill Tips: never mug up what you're going to say and never lie, if possible.Even if you know the answer (easy question) answer politely, stay calm.Collecting numerous certificates is of no real use, as far as placements are concerned.(core companies).

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: They have shortlisted around 60 members from all the applications they have got. I think there was a CGPA cut-off of 7.5. Try maintaining your CGPA above 8 if you are aiming for a core company.
Tips: This is the most important step in the placement process. A resume is something that gets you to an interview. Many tend to neglect this and start preparing resume 1 week or 10 days before the deadline. I started preparing my resume around 1 month before which would give you time to get it reviewed by the seniors. Ideal time I would say for starting off would be mid-July. Be prepared to defend whatever you write on your resume. And this doesn't mean that you can fake on your resume.

Round: Group Discussion
Experience: We were given a time of 2min to think over the topic and prepare notes. We all had a good discussion and successfully we were able to conclude at the end of 10min. I didn't start the GD neither did I conclude it. I have raised a few valid arguments and more importantly was able to drive the group. Also, I gave a chance to one of the non-speakers in our group.
Tips: Be aware of current affairs. Concentrate on their implications rather than what is happening which gives you a good insight into the issues. Stick to basic ground rules of a GD - No heated arguments, never interrupt others and drive the discussion towards a conclusion. There is no such rule like you have to start or conclude a GD to get shortlisted for the next round. Try to be actively involved in the discussion throughout. If you do not know much about the topic, wait till others speak and try drawing some points which you can put forward.
Duration: 10 minutes

Round: Technical + HR Interview
Experience: The interview was very informal. I was prepared for everything that they asked except that design of a hood. They weren't expecting an answer from me rather they wanted to see my approach towards the problem. They were impressed with my internships and asked a few questions which I answered.
Tips: Everything depends on how you drive the interview. Be confident and show your enthusiasm for getting into the company.
