In severe dilemma between GATE and CAT and GOVT. Job and Entrepreneurship (any advice/experience shared will be appreciated)

Hey folks, this is M(23). I recently graduated with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a Tier-3 Govt.-Aided institute. I am facing a career dilemma. Despite decent academics, I wasn't selected by any of the 25+ companies I interviewed with, always making it to the final round. I settled for a 5 LPA with 9-5 timings and 2+ hours of daily commune (I had a 8.5 LPA offer from Vedanta but couldn't join due to circumstances), this has affected my confidence, and I'm considering competitive exams for a better package. I desire PSU job security (I am confident I can rank under 250 in GATE EE, General Category) along with the initial IT package of 30+ LPA to fund my entrepreneurial dreams. However, I am doubtful about taking the CAT exam and skeptical about GATE EE due to PSUs' policies against starting a business.

I passout in July 2024, currently working as apprentice it's an 1 year contract job(ending on sept 2025) -[ Stipend - 18500 ] where I was selected for development role and worked for 24 days on angular and later my manager and their whole project team (100) resigned and join another company as I'm having contract I can't leave the job also if I do I won't be getting the experience letter. Hello all, I have 2 years of experience and it's for both voice and non voice process. I recently left a company where my package was 4.5lpa And joined ADP where my package is 5.8lpa. First thing first, I was hired on a contract basis for 6 months. Then there is no food facility, the cab takes more than an hour to arrive and we just wait for it, at times my shift ends at 2:30am and I will be still in the office waiting for the cab till 5:30am in the morning. After completing one month now they are saying that whatever leaves I took in the first month the amount for it will be deducted from my upcoming salary which is more than 12k, they did not inform us prior to that, that we are supposed to take only one leave in a month and that rest will be unpaid leaves. There is no sick leave, since I am in contact there is no insurance. I want to change company, but I am getting the maximum package as 4.8-5lpa. I want to ask what you guys do in such a situation? Please share your thoughts.

Hi everyone, I have been working in steel detailing industry as checker for over 5 years with only 6LpA. I’d like to switch companies but not sure which to go since there are many cons than the pros in most companies. Most of the companies work 6 days a week with more than 11 hours work in a day and pay a little. that is so tiresome.
