Experience: An Aptitude Test was held by Aspiring Minds on one day. A few days later, The ones shortlisted had to sit for Group Discussion and finally there were personal interviews.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Their questions were more specific about the project after this. They about its safety features, about mechanisms of a few components that are being used, the make of the components, the cost of the components..
Tips: Be honest in your interview. If you don't know something, say you don't know about it. Let them know what you do know about. And make sure you know about whatever it is you are working on in detail. The more you know about what you claim to know, the more impressed they get.

Round: Test
Experience: Quant Round consisted of time work distance and time problems.
Also had some logic questions.

Technical round consisted of questions on transistors, FETs, Shockley equation based, boolean logic, Circuit and power ratings,(theoretical values).
Tips: Study e cad well for Bajaj. They asked about chopper amplifiers and op amps to a few of the other candidates and hope that you get interviewed early because by the end of the day the interviewer usually makes up his mind and it becomes difficult (not impossible) to convince your worth.

Experience: This was an HR cum Technical interviews.

Experience: I would like share my intrview with ATOS Origin software company pune at Hinjewadi Branch. 

Basically They are looking for the candidate who is strong technical background in Perl development and debugging. and also able to dig the functionality from the code.

After my resume short listed, Got a mail from ATOS Origin HR xyz.

Mail content was as below 

"Hi Nabhi Your Face to Face round of interview is been schedule on 3rd December 2010 at 6.30 pm, kindly be available asper schedule"

Venue of the office and conatct person name has been given in the mail.

I Reached the ATOS Origin office at 6:15 and below is the interview Discussion went on.

Interviewer:Hi Nabhi my name is xyz and is working as a Team for the xyz project.

Nabhi:Hi xyz, nice name and how are you doing?

Interviewer:Doing good Nabhi,so can start briefing about yourself interms of personal and professional life.

Nabhi:My parents are staying at my hometown Karanataka xyz town, brother is Govt. employee and I have single sister with my parents,This is all about my personal life. well I have studied my school, colleges and B.E degree in Bijapur district place Karanataka. I have completed my final year B.E in ECE background in the year of 2005.

Interviewer:Nice to hear Nabhi, why do you want to change the company?

Nabhi: As you are aware that since last two years due to market condition, did not get much salary hike, so planning to change and get better salary in the top IT company. I think your company is also doing good in IT field.

Interviewer:Ok fine, How much you rate yourself in Linux Environmnet?

Nabhi: I started my Career with Linux Environment only, to Rate for your question, Then I would say 7 out of 10.

Interviewer:fine,How much you rate yourself in Linux Environmnet?
Nabhi: Yes, Just you have to Type kill -9 procee_name
Interviewer:Why it is always requred to use -9 number during the killing the process?
Nabhi:Kill command is having the different options to give the numbers. This command usually sends a siganl to the process whether signal to terminate,or signal to kill or signal to stop etc.. To send particalar signal to kill the process then we have to use its respective number as 9. Each signals will have its corresponding numbers like 15,9 etc.
Interviewer: Oh ok. what does ls -ltr command do on linux prompt?
Nabhi: ls -ltr command will list out the contents of directory in reverse order with time stamp. Here L is Long list,T is timestamp and r is for reverse order.
Interviewer:fine, do you know AWK ?
Nabhi: No, I never used so far, instead of this command I usually use SED command.
Interviewer:Ok no issues, so you are fine with basic commands on linux then. Lets move to Perl technical questions.
Nabhi: Yes, you can go Ahead Please!.
Interviewer: Do you know whether Perl is interpreter or compiler?
Nabhi: As per my expirience on this skill, I can not say it is purely interpreter, because interpreter usually will give an error in which ever line it occurs but till that line it will show the out put of the script.If you consider for compiler like C or C++ etc.. It will compile interms of bitwise and will generate the (Object code). If you consider Perl to answer your Question, then it will compile the code interms of byte wise and put onto the memory and will not generate any object code for it.so it not be neither interpreter nor programming longauges for compiler.
Interviewer:Nice understanding Nabhi,Do you how to connect Oracle from Perl ?
Nabhi: Yes, use DBI module in the begining of the script, then connect by using the syntax $dbh=DBI->connect("DBI:Oracle","userid","passwrd");
Interviewer:what is the Perl function to replace by charecter ?
Nabhi: we can use tr/A/a/g
Interviewer: ok.yur are familiar with the regular expressions then?
Nabhi: Yes.
Interviewer:Thanks Nabhi for your time here, our HR will get back to you very soon.
Nabhi: Thanks xyz and nice chatting with you.
Hence selected during technical round.

Round: Test
Experience: I have been placed in CTS( Cognizant Technology Solutions recently. On 11th December 2010, I attended placement Consortium interview at VIT Campus. I would like to share my interview experience.
The interview process had only two rounds (Written Test, Interview (technical + HR). About 2000 members had attempted the written test and 490 members got shortlisted. I was one of among them. I was bit tensed while they announced the written test qualifiers, but I was confident that I would clear written. In written test they stressed only on analytical reasoning and non verbal reasoning. If you are sharp enough in your analytical skills, you can easily clear written test.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Next day was the interview, 490 members were divided into 29 panels. My name was in 20th panel. I am technically ok and I was very clear about my personal details, things in my resume. This was how the interview conversion held.
Me: Excuse me, sir
Interviewer: Come in (Went in and I stood nearby the chair) Take your seat.
Me: Thank you sir, I am Vinodh Kumar.
Interviewer: Ok glanced at my details filled in the form given by them. Why you chosen MCA why not B.Tech?.
Me: I wanted to have a PG sir (more conversation went on this).
Interviewer: So you intentionally chose to do your B.Sc and then MCA.
Me: Yes Sir.
Interviewer: Since you have been in touch with computer science for the past 5 years , you could have done lot of programming right.
Me: Yes Sir, Recently I have done online test web application and also I have developed a Snake game using C.
Interviewer: Good, Have you developed Snake game using C Graphics?.
Me: No sir, I have used ASCII code to develop that.
Interviewer: What is back end for your online test project?
Me: MySql.
Interviewer: Could you write a program for me in C.
Me: Yes.
Interviewer: Can you implement String reverse function for me.
Me: I wrote and shown and I admitted that It has mistake and would correct that if he give me some more time.
Interviewer: No I was just looking for the logic, your logic is right.
Interviewer: What languages do you know?.
Me: C, C++, Still learning java and whispered it's a ocean sir.
Interviewer: He smiled and asked, can you explain Operator overloading?.
Me: Explained him clearly on the paper and understood he was well satisfied with my answer.
Interviewer: What is method over riding?.
Me: I elucidated him clearly by giving an example.
(Many questions like friend functions, virtual functions were asked)
Interviewer: You specified DBMS as your interest, Have you ever used Oracle?
Me: Yes sir, In my UG project, I used Oracle 9i as the backend.
Interviewer: Can you explain what is referential integrity?.
Me: Wrote two relations and used those two relations to explain it. He was well satisfied with answer.
Interviewer: Have you ever used indexes in your projects?
Me: No sir, Just I vaguely know what is an index. That's it.
Interviewer: Ok, You are still learning java right. What is advantage of java over C++.
Me: I almost took more than 2 minutes to answer this. I added various points to justify the advantages of java.
Interviewer: Are you comfortable with Software engineering?
Me: Yes sir.
Interviewer: What are the various kinds of testing( I told the anwer).What is white box testing.
Me: Explained.
I have skipped many questions here. The interview went for about 20 to 25 minutes. I kept smiling and maintained good eye contact with him throughout the interview. I identified there was a good healthy discussion between us.
Finally the interviewer shook his hands with me and told "Hope you collect your feedback personally with me". These words indirectly suggested that I am selected. Next day selected list was sent to our college, 228 members were selected in the interview process and I am glad that I was one among them.

Experience: Then they gave topics for group discussion which was the 2nd round and would be held on the 2nd day .We prepared the topic ourself then on the 2nd day they made our group and in every group there were 10 candidates present. The GD round was also easy we have to speak on the given topic and there were 9 candidates selected in GD round.

In this Article I am going to share my interview experience with Capgemini Bangalore.
This Position was basically for Senior software engineer on SNMP Agent development skill.
This SNMP Agent development can be developed by using C,or C++ or Perl with C on Linux environment skills.
Below is the Interview conversion:-
Interviewer: Hi Nabhisab, I am xyz calling from Capgemini Bangalore, Is this the right time to talk to you?
Nabhi :Hi xyz, you can go ahead, No issues.
Interviewer:Could you brief me about yourself?
Nabhi :Yeah sure, well I am basically from Karnataka state, done my school, colleges and my B.E in BLDEA VTU university Belgaum, Later on I moved to Bangalore , got off-campus from Techmahindra and got placed in Chennai,
Later on put a personal transfer request to Bangalore but due to lack of project at Bangalore they had transferred me to Pune techmahindra office.
Interviewer: Nice, Could you explain about your projects so far you had worked and the current one also?
Nabhi :well I worked on Bogen communication USA client on SNMP agent development and was on C,Perl on linux enviornement. And I worked on Directory and messaging project for BT client which was on C,Perl skills.
Currently I am working with AT&T client from techmahindra Pune, which is on perl, C and Oracle-PLSQL on Linux environment.
Interviewer:Could you Please tell me what kind of work you have done in SNMP agent development project and what is it ?
Nabhi :Well , SNMP is a protocol basically, and is developed to manage nodes like router, work stations, switches and hubs.
Interviewer: Do you know why which transport protocol is being used in this development ?
Nabhi : Yes, UDP protocol, because it provides a simple and unreliable message services for transactions oriented services.
Interviewer: What are the main 3 components of the SNMP?
Nabhi :Yes, we do have Managed Devices, Agents and NMS's.
Interviewer:Could you please brief me about these components?
Nabhi :well, "Managed device" is a network node and it contains SNMP Agent and resides on a managed hardware.
This basically collects and store management information and make this information available to NMS's using SNMP. exampes are like routers,switches etc.
"Agent" is and network management software module that resides in a managed device, This has local knowledge of management information and it will translates to SNMP.
"NMS" is executes applications that monitor and control managed devices.
Interviewer: Oh ok,what is the SNMP version you are using?
Nabhi : SNMPV2, which is having GETBULK PDU which can be used to get bulk data in a packet.
Interviewer:what is the syntax for SNMPGET?
Nabhi :SNMPGET -v 2c -c public localhost sysUpTime.0
this retrieves the information associated with the specified OID from the target agent.
Interviewer: Good, At the End you have told that it should be zero affix in the syntax, what does it mean?
Nabhi : To access scalar objects the we should have to use object.0
Interviewer: Ok fine. what do you mean by MIB in SNMP?
Nabhi:MIB is an management information base. This can be done by using ASN.1 syntax style with any MIB editors tools which are existed in the market today.
Interviewer:ok, what MIB editor tool you have used ?
Nabhi :Advent Net Agent tool kit.
Interviewer:Ok. which compiler is used for compiling MIB ?
Nabhi : mib2c compiler which is existed on Linux by defalt.
Interviewer: How do you rebuild your new package SNMP agent onto the existing Agent.?
Nabhi:You have to configure the package to find into the agent.
use ./configuer -- with -mib_module="Agent module Object"
make and make install steps thats all.
Interviewer: Nice Nabhi, are you familiar with Perl scripting ?
Nabhi : Yes xyz.
Interviewer: Ok Nabhi, I have dome my Interview, Do you have anything to ask?
Nabhi: No xyz, Have gone through your JD so it is ok with me.
Interviewer: Ok Then, my HR will let you know Nabhi about this Feedback.
Nabhi : yeah fine, and nice talking to you xyz.
I think this may helpful to the persons who are working on SNMP agent developemnt with C, perl on linux environment.
