Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: consists of mostly technical questions and a few verbal & analytical ability Qs. this test is easy and generally everyone cracks it.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: it starts with giving personal introduction and then a few basic technical questions related to concrete, its properties. engineering materials, tests performed on materials...prepare a nice personal introduction telling about ur school. college, family, hobbies, likes, dislikes etc...and most importantly be honest..
Tips: no hints as such...
only thing is they wud constantly bombard u with Qs like
are u ready to do site work?
We have a major project going on in (some place), wud u like to work on it?
....u must be willing to go anywhere in india!!!
actually, i didnt join L&T....
But, if u r willing to travel anywhere and ready to work from 8 to 8, then L&T is a good company where u wud get a load of experience.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: There were 3 rounds in all.
The first round was a basic HR round that tested your communictation skills and your willingness to travel to client sites around the country.
The second round was also an HR plus a basic statistics questioning round(eg. whats a mean, median , mode and when do you use what). Its also a stress test round so they can question you on anything they want (eg. geography, history and so on).
The final round is with the Executive Director which is based on how you could be an asset to the company, how you could contribute to it and what have you done all these years in terms of work experience.

Round: Technical Interview
Tips: Be confident , they just want to know if you can handle pressure and if you can communicate well.

Round: Test
Experience: Mostly the question were too simple to answer just u need to go through any cat materials & u must have good technical knowledge.
Tips: Almost all companies has CAT type questions so do that question from net or from any general books like O.P.Agrawal

Round: Technical Interview
Tips: just be chill out during interviews & tests.. u will come out with flying colors ...go there and present as what u r .never play games with them they will know your bluff in mins.So,be cool,calm & be in proper dress code.Dnt worry if u r weak in vocab.just present yurself and be confident.

Tips: guyz b honest i told them that i'm planning 2 take up MS but aftr working fr an year or 2)
Be honest with whatever u say. Coz u try to bluff them, they know it in a sec. Even if its yr plans of not taking up a job, dont strtaght away tell them dat or u'll b kicked out. But assure them dat u'll work fr an year or 2. n if u dont know particular ans, then say dont know. Dont bluff.n b confident.

Experience: I dont exactly remember the questions..they were mostly technicals.The questions basically depend on what u give them to ask..they wont ask u randomly frm any topic..they mostly rely on ur ans which forms the basis of their next question.Prepare few topics of ur liking & be confident + honest(most important)

Skill Tips: Well, placements become a part of life with time. So don't think of it as do or die. It is an amazing experience. So, just learn from every failure.

And yes, be confident. That's all it takes to clear it.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: upon knowing that machines and power systems are my favorite subjects, they both bombarded me with loads of questions ranging from generators , transformers, hydro electricity plant, receiving stations, etc...
The interview lasted for a whooping 35 minutes! and at the end i was told by them that godrej is getting into the distribution biz.
Tips: Go Bindaas with full confidence. give answers with full confidence and stick to your point. they may try to prove you wrong. and worry not! there are so many companies for electrical engineers that u r surely to get into a good one. all the best. hope this much info will help u.....
