The company is good. There is job security. But there is no growth and promotion. Salary is very less.

Like I mentioned, salary is very less. It's more of adda culture in Kolkata. Full of unprofessional people and management. Fixed shift and 5 days work from home.

Likes

Suitable for professionals who prefer gradual growth over the years with job security. Lots of resources for learning are available and there are ample opportunities to play wide range of cross functional roles.

Dislikes

The approach followed for annual compensation revision and promotions need to be reviewed as per the current industry best practices to keep the employees motivated and engaged.

In TCS there is a culture of helping each other. Applying best practices from other units who have done better. The HIS is really good.

Dislikes

...t to maintain the culture like before. Too much of cost cutting. Lower salaries. No uniformity across in terms of pay scale, work etc. It is not an organisation like before. Recognition and growth is challenge. You need to fight for it.

... & ben policy. Hikes every year will be always lesser than the annual inflation. Also, it puts you out of the league with the other peers in the industry in terms of your position and salary. Had a hard time to negotiate salary with the new employer and still reeling the damage it has caused. Join only if you lead a EMI free lifestyle. Better to buy shares of TCS than expecting a decent hike. The share dividend and annual increase of TCS share will be higher than your absolute increase in your salary next year. N ya.. for promotion and hike either you better be working in Mumbai, Chennai / a Parsi / TamBrahm.

The only good thing is the job security. It would be a great organization after 40s.

Dislikes

The worst part is salary and promotions. Moreover, I didn't like the way they gave ratings and hikes. And work-life balance is poor.
