Partner-based company but highly politicized and cutthroat behavior and filled with people who lie to profit at the expense of junior employees, especially Kolkata office. Toxic work culture, you have to be very cautious and on your toes to avoid being cornered.

No Learning opportunity, even though firm invests in people up skilling, management denies and doesn't approve No constructive feedback from superior and at the end of the year backstabbed without a reason Manager & Upward people ensures people are engaged more than 14 hours a day Technical people are sidelined and non technical / political guys are welcomed Worst work culture in Kolkata probably Arrogant & non technical management Zero work life balance From Manager to Partner all are arrogant & unethical Extreme politics in work environment People are dragged into 2-3 projects without a reason and make them suffer No quality in deliverables at all HR is puppet, no confidentiality in any discussion Kolkata Data Analytics Advisory team is the graveyard for technical resources

PwC India is one of the worst place to work. It has the bad compensation as compared to market and most of it are Indian projects. Work Life balance is ZERO in PwC India. They make you work for extended hours and in weekends without any allowance. Also, they do not give hike to their employees.

Dislikes

It is not at all a employee centric firm. Dont go by the brand value, especially for PwC India. They have Indian clients and can map you to any projects irrespective of technologies.

Confused about Salary negotiations

CTC - 8 LPA Loc - Bengaluru, India I have been working in the same company for the last 5 years. My salary went from 3.6 LPA to 8 LPA over the years. I recently put papers, and, started giving interviews. I got an offer from TCS for 15 LPA(12.8 fixed). For more than a month, I've been giving interviews, asking for 18 LPA and many HRs are rejecting straight away, citing it is more than 100% hike from my current CTC. I kept trying and now I am selected for 5 companies - Iris Software, Capgemini, Quantzig Analytics, PwC, HCL, Infinite. Salary discussions are about to start and I'm confused. I'm not good at this. Can anyone suggest?
