The company pours money into flop movies while blatantly neglecting to pay its employees, failing to contribute to their Provident Fund, and leaving them in a constant state of financial uncertainty. Internal politics run wild, micromanagement is rampant, and with no clear leadership or direction, employees are left in a constant state of confusion and frustration. Salaries are always delayed, performance bonuses are a myth, and resigning often results in walking away with unpaid dues. To make matters worse, the company recently shut down its subsidiary, Ascend International, leaving behind around 70–80 employees without pay for more than 7 months. The General Manager, Balaji Sir, seems to have perfected the art of avoiding the office, likely to escape questions about these overdue payments and the company’s mounting debt. There’s no formal leave policy, employees are forced to work endless hours, and despite the constant grind, there is no appreciation or recognition. In the end, the toxic work culture only leaves one feeling suffocated, while the promises of change remain just that—empty promises.
