Projects which are executed by MEIL is absolutely great, we get a lot to learn (For freshers you have to learn on your own). Accommodation is quite better and food is also not bad at all.

Dislikes

...k-life balance TERRIBLE and SICK, no holidays on sundays and no holidays at all. They pay you very less, the BONUS policy is pointless. You have to work at least 2 years in the company to get a bonus. The worst thing about MEIL is, there is no SAFETY at site, no strict rules when it comes to PPE. IF you have no family or if you want to live a solitude life with less income. MEIL is a better place for Recluse.

Dislikes

I feel little bit job insecurity. Family persons not getting HRA & Food allowance. Not for all projects. Only my situation this particular project. I think my bad luck.apart form all are good. And one more reason leaves Sep 2024 month I working 25 Days remaining 5 days apply OD with site incharge permission. But I don't know what's happening. My September month total working days also consider Absent. So many times rise the complaint. But not solved. My muster data also removed E bills. That's time I decided Job insecurity feeling . Family persons struggle more.

... nepotism, castism, regionism, favorism,... Etc all types of negative isms here. If one is brave enough to join Megha make sure to ask atleast 100% hike on your current package so you have atleast one good thing to say about.

Timely salary make me work in this company

Dislikes

They don't follow holiday calender released by HO. You don't have any appraisal or promotion regularly it nearly once in 3 years.Company says they will give bonus every year but you don't get any bonus.No work life balance as you have to work 7 days a week and NO OTs are paid even Sundays are not paid days but you have to work for free on sundays.

Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?
I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?
