This is a company that places contract workers at their many clients. This is a salaried company with benefits. My experience so far has been very good. Upper management has been very hands off.

Dislikes

Salary could be better. I got a decent raise of 4% the first year I was eligible, but they lowered the opening salary quite a bit after telling me they would pay more. I was out of work at the time so took the job anyways. They should have paid me what they told me they would when I interviewed and not lowered it after. Only 2 weeks vacation to start. Many of the client companies I work for start their employees with 20 plus days. This is vey out of synch with the times and if I leave, it will be for more money and vacation, not because I do not like working for them.

Work culture is great in Infosys. Work life balance is amazing in Infosys depending on your project and the company has many policies for employee learning and development

Dislikes

Compensation is very less and also projects are assigned randomly if you are a fresher

Employee engagement clubs are very active, infrastructure and facilities are good but not free.

...owth, no certifications are funded. Give very less value to career aspirations. Compensation benefits are ignominal.

Onshore visa initiations are nominated irrespective of person travelled or not as part of retainment philosophy.

...d hike percentage usually do not cross single digits irrespective of top rating. Example, If salary is 100. JL6 - fixed pay-30% var - 5-15% super annuation - 30% tax bracket from govtd = 100-30-5% sa - 20% tax assumption=45 rs, so you get 45 at hand of your ctc is at 100 Similarly 20%var for JL5 and 10% var for JL4 Just do the math and how under par salary.

...ave to spoil anyone's career. HR is for manager protection and not for employee. You will join and leave the company at the same salary. Employee going on sick leave is also used against them during appraisals. Initiatives like IJP, salary correction and appraisals are all hoax. For internal job posting IJP they offer standard hike of 17% and move all increment into performance bonus and retirals. Your in hand will be less post promotion.
