I started working in Deloitte in 2021 and everything was great but right now they are indirectly laying off people by mental harrassment and giving very vague reasons. Reason for laying off is overstaffing and mass hiring during covid. As of now there is no job security in Deloitte at Senior level and they have a target to lay off people.

Salary is good compared to other big 4 companies

Dislikes

Worst worst work culture.... No work life balance you'll get. You have to work 15 hrs a day but your senior ask you work more.... Even then you'll get no recognition. They'll simply give bad remarks for how much work you did, which will affect your salary, promotion and bonuses. Life in deloitte purely depends on the team you are getting. But you have to be very lucky!

...garding the work which we done in the year then they start some cinematic story. Your salary is already high or outside market is done. Your are star performer in the whole year but still something is missing you are not a role model or when they give promotion by mistake Your name will not be in the list. Then manager says computer error.

The Peeple, The culture, The leadership visits with free food :), Work satisfaction at least in finance teams, and Occasional ethnic wear :), these all make the Deloitte best. However, I know the culture may vary from team to team, but if you are able to find a good team, you are all sorted.

The hikes are not that good, and last year bonus was also not that great.. Hope this will improve in coming years.

I work for internal project and believe me once you will join u will get so many thing like salary hike is minimum 6% and usually 8-9% for average person. Gifts in all festival, lunch from client in ever 2-3 month, some times mid increment, medical leave will be extra 9 days, i was getting travel allowance, bonus at eoy, 25000 for your external exp. Ever year, mobile bill claim, some 9f highr position got car allowance also, many more thing.
