I Love everything about Zomato. One should work in Zomato,I worked her for 6 years I felt Zomato is my home. It's great experience.

Dislikes

They don't retain. If you want to leave just leave, HR won't ask your problem why you want to leave. They are bit laid back.

The company culture is really good. Everything is open and you can reach out to anyone with any of query which will be solved quickly. High ownership. Zomato doesn't have attendance puch in system which is another good thing. High growth environment and if you fail to keep up then you won't even like going to the office cause you will be treated according to your performance.

For any KAM role just know this that it's all about achieving your targets here and nothing else. You have to achieve the numbers every month by hook or by crook. If not then you can also lose your job. This is the reason why there is no notice period here. Not because we can leave anytime we want but because they can fire you anytime they want. My husband has worked there as an SDE-3 , this company has utlimate politics, including the CEO of the company. They terminate people as per their mood. Only older employees are survive as they do involve in politics and make their own group and if new person joins the team, they do not give proper KT and blames new person for theirperformance issue and all. Company is having zero day relieving policy. They terminate so intelligently( on 11th month) so that they do not have to give the stocks worth àround 75 lakhs at present value. after completing one year in the company they have to give stocks and they terminate people in 11 month. My husband has worked restlessly on weekends, on holidays, new-year, christmas and mid-nights for this company to deliver smoother but these cunning people do not have a shame. They will kick you out, when they deem fit, for whatever reason suits them, no job security, no employee grievance or warning escalations of any kind, you mistake once and you lose your job, office is located in the middle of a secluded place and god forbids if you have to leave in urgency, you will die due to the lack of transport facilities and unavailability of cabs there. A very dynamic organisation in terms of the market. Great work life balance, although you might need to work on festivals. Good scope for starting off a career and people can grow a lot if they fit in the culture. Managers are great.

Dislikes

Too much talk of culture, sometimes it is abused. Bad apples. Slow on tech adaptability, for such a large organisation you would think they have organised their data and processes well. Long way to go! People can chill, as there are more people than needed.

Bad work culture ( morning 10:00 am you have to come and leaving around average 9:00 pm) if you leave around 6:00 pm then you have to message on slack and tell the team that I’m leaving early for some personal work. 2. Worst Manager, manager is technically zero expects all work to be done in 15 mins. Does not even know basic google sheets but designation is cluster ceo. Very bad. Management also listen to only the manager not to the enployees.
