Pros: Everything depends on client since its a service based. You get decent hikes if you're good. Cons: -more office politics hence losing good resources -though they hire talented freshers' they get dumb because of being in bench advice to Management : -Velankani must improve on their sales and grab new projects -cutting down VPP or holding increment of onsite allowance will not retain existing employees Note: if velankani has survived despite of its competitors, its only due to its employee friendly nature. hypocrisy alias politics at all management levels. eg: A hypocrite employee try to grow in office by defaming hard-working employees. A hypocrite does minimal technical & hardwork, he tries to be friendly to all employees and gather info. In background he escalates to management regarding small issues by make it big & very big. Si nce all escalation comes to HR department, HR team must gauge on the escalating person. Initially when i joined two years back,company was not having much in house projects. Focus was more on sending employees to client locations such as Cisco,Infinera. After some time,the management has brought positive changes both in organisation's business development and individual employee's growth as well. 1.Work life balance is good here if you do your work sincerely and on time. 2.Compensation benefits are good. 3.Skill development is the plus point here as there are no big teams and everybody gets to perform their individual tasks. Its a place for quick learners,not for people who just want salary without doing any work. 4.Team outings,evening snacks,birthday celebrations and some festivals are also celebrated here to break the monotony. 5.Your job is always in your hand,its secure if you are true to your work. No one can expell you if you are a good resource. 6.company culture here is very good,people at higher level understand your personal commitments and no one interferes in your personal life. No one talks in foul language. If your team is good,you will enjoy working in velankani. 7.free transport is the major plus pt which most of the companies dont provide these days. Horrible place overall. If u r lucky and u get a local onsite peoject like cisco or infinera then may be u can relax a bit coz u will be governed mainly by the clients work culture and not velankani. But in case u r unlucky which is most likely and u stay back to work at velankani... Cons8dered urself screwed and with 3 months notice period and ur skills deteriorating over time, be sure to get stuck here for the rest of ur life and again if u r lucky enuf to find urself another job, these mgmt guys will ensure that u face the most terrible days of ur life trying to move out of here !!! The policies here are pathetic, most things are hidden or not professional described or written. The mgmt people are dictators and the directorship of this company is the biggest flaw or hurdle in its success. And yes the most awful thing, If the client declares a holiday on a particular day, velankani ensures that the employee is fo rced to apply for a leave that day ... What kind of a ridiculous policy is that. Specially the car lease policy ... I took lease and used car for two months and they forgot to deduct the money .. well good for me i dint had to pay but imagine the finances....Read More
