UBS india team is underestimated and less appreciated evn though Indian teams are doing fantastic jobs. The UK teams are jealous of indian teams and they dont prefer t share information with india . Lot of bias for India team in UBS which need to looked upon seriously.

Being a Financial Company able to adapt to new technologies in fast pace is amazing, Good Pay, Work life balance, etc.

Location; Its hard to find decent amenities near by, be it restaurants, gym, etc.

It used to be a very good company before 2023 and I liked the work life balance, culture, my team, policies, leaves etc. No strict work from office policy. Good learning opportunities. Better pay then other IBs in Pune.

Dislikes

Many directors have hired their own receptionists as AVP/VP who doesn't have any technical knowledge and they are just there for PPT and meetings. Rest of the team feels demotivated due to this. Promotions in some departments are not good and the management hires people with less experience at higher grade compared to existing employees. Layoffs which are going on are pathetic and there is no rational to it. The hikes and promotion are big scam You will get burnt peanuts every year end No learning opportunities Same old boring work again and again Favouritism, long working hours everyday. They will suddenly go on hire freezes No backfills for people who left Manager give false promises Evey year in appraisal. Credit Suisse don’t exist any more. Since the merger with UBS, now it is UBS. My review is based on my tenure with Credit Suisse Pune for about 3 years until the merger. Even though it was the worst phase of credit suisse history, this was a great place to work. Benifits, compensation, work and company culture were always top of the line. The company did suffer financial and reputation loss since Archegos Capital collapse and closure of prime business and other events that kept the company in negative news. All that lead to restructuring and head count cut was on cards. Still they protected the full time employees to the best they can. Although I and few from my team left voluntarily to avoid risks, no one from my immediate team or knows was laid off from Pune. The directors were confident that they will find suitable roles and they actually did align people to relevant opportunities. I spent just 3 years in credit suisse and I got very attached to my work and my team. Even though I still work for another major global financial company with great culture, nothing beats credit suisse’s work culture and people. The HRs made sure that employee rights were never tossed in the air and leadership made sure that people get good work. Most team mates were there for an average of 8-10 years or longer duration. I fee only the relatively new joiners like me left the company. Anyways now that the entire credit suisse leadership is with UBS I hope UBS can match up the standards set by CS, perhaps they may even raise the bar. I hope to join them back some day....Read More

Credit suisse merged to UBS so it makes me skeptical on how much of CS work culture will be retained. Will they care for employees as much as credit suisse did? I don’t know. There was nothing to dislike about credit suisse.
