There is absolutely no training given, no induction, no career growth, no rating given, manager never calls to discuss anything, when we call, the manager doesn't pick up. The client is happy for the work I do but not my management. They fail to get through with the proposal due to imp roper documentation and lose the project and next day they fire me. Teammates here at The Times of India, Ahmedabad are excellent to work with, and because of presence of seniors, learning becomes easy and fun. This is one such organisation where career growth is definite. The overall work environment has been good so far.

Job security is a major concern here as consultants and pay roll employees work in the same pattern, yet are treated very differently, and for quite a long time, even after a consultant has been putting his/her 100%, doesn't get permanent employment. And because of this salary/appraisal doesn't happen.

The only good thing is that TOI doesn't sack people but apart from that, TOI has a toxic work culture with creepy bosses who favour their coteries only. Career growth opportunities are limited.

Not much to learn from the bosses. One becomes a boss in TOI after years of buttering and flattering. Bosses are abusive and discouraging. They openly resort to nepotism and prejudice. Many bosses prefer women. With respect to salary, hardly there is 5% hike every year. That too after lot of threats and oiling. Work environment path etic.
