Tesco Environment is nice, team mates are good, about training they didn't gave any training I only learned by looking at manuals, no career growth only Tesco stores stds no use of civil engineering, salary was good Politics in team specially managers, girls. Managers and leads need only their work to be done and they are happy.. they don't know how much stress on us

You will work on open tools, which means skills are easily transferable. Web, Backend, Apps all you will learn without any confidential frameworks as is the case in FAANG.

Dislikes

Work culture is horrible. You will grow as programmer but not as software engineer. Projects are maintained like university kids. Even 15 years experienced engineers don't know any thing other than making things work, even though those short term gain may not add value in long run.

No work life balance No growth Micromanagement from heads They care more about number of hours worked and not about the quality of work produced. Zero flexibility. Even a sick leave needs to be compensated. Fixed shift timings that leave no room for personal life. Biased promotions.

Everything, the company is so pathetic that I don't even feel like give it 1 Star as well. No work life balance, a lot of discrimination, not a good place to work, really disappointed. Tesco doesn't follow its own value, employees are never treated as the want to be, for example a team get together is also divided into 2, team dinner and team lunch. One the day of joining we were told we'll get our joining goodies but it's been 7 months we are still due for it. We don't have proper management, no work ethics no professionalism, though it's. Huge campus but no hygiene, management is doing nothing for the employees specially when it comes to the CCEC....Read More

Salary compensation is not satisfactory for 10 years employee also , manager's politics is very much in Tesco, no career growth for experienced employee at Tesco. No bonus. My over all experience with Tesco was 13 years I did not had good career growth or managers giving me opportunity to promote me lot of politics was played. Due to lack of career growth and salary I left Tesco.

No pros , I can think of. It is good company if you know/like buttering:)

No pros , I can see here, worst work culture I have seen in my life. Here you can't fight with your manager/HoSd, they will take it as personal grudge and you will be on radar everytime they can fire you with silly reasons. No freedom of speech. HRs are dumb, won't listen to you. You probably will never interact with them. No goodies, no appreciations nothing.

It is one of the best place to work and it gives you the best work life balance. Managers and colleagues are really very friendly. Plus if you are someone who is looking for an opportunity to grow within the organisation the company gives you the freedom to move into different domain and team as per your interest and dedication.
