If you are not backed by people, you have no value here. - Show off and impression are valued more than your technical achievements. - Gang by old employees - they take advantages. - hierarchy - all the information (tech + design + next features) will be limited to SDE3 and above. If you are joining as SDE2, you are just a coder who is asked to code. You are not here to think or make decision. Decision will be made before you know about it. - Low compensation - 5 -7 % annula hike - No benifits - Long and tedious process for promotion. - Promotion is also based on politics (you need to proof with evidence what you did. Whatever the work done in the past is not at all considered for promotion. Everyone has to go through assessment (coding, design and leadership discussions). Where you get rejected for silly reasons. Please let the candidates know about the promotion process before hiring them. I shouldn't have joined Tesco.

Tesco is a good company with lots of opportunity to learn. The company works like a startup so the learning curve is great hear. Growth is also good if you are a hard working guy.
