In TCS you have flexibility....you can choose projects, reject projects, learn lot of things through various learning platforms. Though during project, sometimes managing learning is an uphill task. Low salaries for long timers is a big drawback. It boasts of being agile but does not use agile for running its own day to day operations. Resourcing is in a big time mess, people working on project have to invest a lot of time in resourcing, there's no dedicated team within the projects ( even projects as large as with 300 people). Quarterly bonus is almost certain to be zero at 12+ yr experience levels. Old school mentality still exists in TCS, where wearing Jeans is a crime on weekdays. Good work culture ( if one does not want to work ). One can spend complete career without working. One can deny work by telling lack of bandwidth or lack of experience. TCS has tie up with most training platforms so one learn a lot. If you have good relation with seniors then chances are there for onsite oppurtunity.
No appreciation for project work completion and hardly any promotion or salary hike. Every project manager amd partner will give a ladoo of onsite oppurtunity to everyone in the project to motivate as they are helpless due to low pay and low yearly appreciation of associates. TCS is mostly concentrated on AMS and BAU projects so chances are less to get a role in consulting or implementation project. ( its mostly like tata customer service) No mapping of career aspiration, skillset or education qualification. Senior are mostly concerned about incoming revenue and will tag to any project as long as revenue from client is coming. Working with TCS is great experience but the project to which I have worked the managers are too toxic. They won't give respect to other health, they force the associates to report to office even on sick leave.

1.Hire talent with skills and giving roles which doesn't suite their skillset and de-skill them. 2. Never promotes the employee who contributes. 3. Only one financial year you will be recognised or given A band and in upcoming years either you work or not there won't be any recognition. 4. They will set some rules and exceptions but the Hr and lead or managers won't follow or adhere to it only people below C3 has to follow and sometimes approvals were not approved on time which impacts cut down in employees salaries and HR or accounts or finance will do nothing about it and say it as employees responsibilities. 4. Everything here is employees responsibilities... if work environment is poor , washroom is dirty or network is poor or access door has issue or personal belongings stolen. Etc... nobody here is helpout anyone. Take self care or leave it. 5. Some people in bech will do fun activities like games, dance and stuff and only they will enjoy .
