Learning Platforms are made available to Employees. It is up to the employees to acquire skills. However, the learning doesn't guarantee a change in Current Project to a new project. Every single thing in the Organisation is self service.

Regardless the news in the Media, the actual compensation is far below par. Once you are into a project, you have no option even after years into a project to get a release. Many a times you have to either Resign or get a lower band in appraisal to change the project. Very opaque policy implementation. Unlike some companies like Infosys, you will enjoy here with flexible timings, no entry and exit time considerations, result oriented...remaining things are common to any other IT company in India. As long as you are working on niche technologies, your job is safe. Salaries and Appraisals based on your bargaining capabilities and your performances. One should always remember that TCS is like any other Indian IT company, this is not a charity. As long as you are billable in the project, you are safe otherwise your count-down starts till you get new project. However, one suggestion is always you should be part of any niche technology development team, do not opt for management roles irrespective of your no. of experience years.
