I have joined as a fresher and I am about the complete 2 years in few months. The work n life balance is pretty good. Job security is there.

Dislikes

TCS is pretty good in all aspects except that salary package n increment is pretty less.

In TCS you really don't have to worry about job security, work environment is also good. You will not have much work that stresses you but if you are in good project there is lot to learn and grow.

Dislikes

Appraisal system is purely in hands of manager so if you have favourite of your manager then your appraisal will be not good else you have to fight for your appraisal.

I was in project using only core java so I wanted to work on new technology but i didn't got the release. Work experience was good but appraisal has been done for me was not justified for me.

Life is easy but they ensure back dated technology, terrible process following and sometimes will make u do anything out of box out of technology. Company is only politics and can teach you only how to survive but no enhancement technical strength

Dislikes

Politics and compensation. The company makes double digit profit but we get only 3 percent increment. Awful and u cannot question that as well.

Being a developer also most of times I work for support that to any random project. No process is followed. Politics is too mch.

I have been working for TCS for one year eight months.Learned a lot of things as TCS ,as a learning platform taught me how a professional life will look like.I have worked with only one team and team is very encouraging and supportive.Training period was an awesome period of my lifetime , had communicated and still having company with my colleagues from different part of the country.TCS job is a secure job and it is a stepping stone of my career.The salary is actually good .Appraisals are also good. I have no dislikes in TCS, as I am having a tension mind nature , feels little stress sometimes. Sometimes sanity support will come as part of deployment and that may include nightshift.That is little overburden sometimes.

Doing developer role in my project .BPM is the platform and having IBM SOA also as a development platform.Have to direct communication with the client but now the devops culture has been implemented in the project and hoping that will do well .

There is no individual recognition and when coming to mid year or final year appraisal,we can observe that there are some politics happening at the background.It all depends on the experience of the person rather than how much they are contributing individually to the work they are doing.And I feel that their is less growth....Read More

My work is bit challenging as depending on the customer requirement,I will develop the code in related technology with clear understanding of the requirement and test the developed code ,so that the code is bug free before handing over to the customer.

As compare other service based company it is better as working environment is satisfactory here , job security is there and if u will get into a good project u can continue here till you want as there is a work-life balance here .If you will talk about salary appraisal it is satisfactory

You have to mess up with the system provided as you will be given old system with less RAM installed as per requirement

Teammates not good, salary/appraisal system is worse, only perk available is 34 days of leave and for taking it you will have to struggle a lot with the manager

Working environment is totally depends on the location and project in TCS. But at most of the places you will find working environment to be good. Your job is totally secured here. Only one thing I will say career growth is less in terms of salary increment.

Dislikes

Salary growth is less. Even sometimes u have to be very polite towards your manager to see early promotion. Else you will be trapped in their politics
