1. Toxic Work Place - Age Gap b/w Reportee and Manager.
2. Poor Support of HR wrt Work Place Conflicts or Mental Health Issue due to Toxic Work Place.
(Policy , Well Being Program and etc are available and executed but real required support is not provided)
Reason: Huge Age Gap between Managers and Reportee which leads to dissatisfaction in both and particularly reportee. Tata Power has very good job security which means employee stay here for long even if employee performance is poor or border line mediocre. Elder employees are in Head or Managerial position who hesitate to accept new working culture. Engineering Graduates - Fresher are way smarter and come up with certain expectations however this turn toxic when old ideas or work culture are mandated to follow by their manager or Head. You get Job security by compromising everything else.
Dislikes
1. No job rotation - you will never ever get released from your current role if you get selected in IJPs (Internal Job Postings)
2. Low-profile, mundane, blue-collar, physical operations jobs given to GETs from reputed colleges, thereby spoiling their career. (These physical operations jobs are done by ITI holders and technicians inother power companies and industries)
3. Lip-service to Safety and Security - Engineers have to travel alone to remote substations in the city, in night shifts (wee hours) to perform high voltage operations. There is no assistant / helper / technician to assist Engineers. This is a serious safety and security risk.
4. No cross-functional learning as you are trapped in a silo forever.
5. Lack of Ethics and Transparency in implementing of Job rotation policy.
6. Slow career growth
