The team heads have formed a gang as they know each other from long time, they barely listen to the developers and their concerns. The interactions between manager and reportees is negligible and they want to do various things with no vision in mind. Delivery managers fail to give the direction and take action on developers concerns. This is particular to this team, other teams might be good.

If you are good at licking your boss, then you dont have to work. Life is very chill, just say yes sir 5 times a day without any questioning. There are lots of skills that you will learn here like how to blame others, divert your tasks to juniors Tech team is very good. Everyone is from TCS and like you they are also only looking for passing the time. Excellent HR team. They managed to remove the company existence from glassdoor after so may true reviews. Great work. IT support team is very smart. They provide cheap quality laptop (sometimes not even in warranty) which crashes during work. Salary is very less. HR team will try convince you a lot before you join. But once you join, they will forget that you exist. They wont even clear basic salary related doubts. No clarification on investment declaration. Officially its 5 days work, but every weekend you have to work because leadership team continuously changes the requirements.

Work Culture is great, but this is very specific to team you're in. Lots to learn being young startup across all tech stack. Overall good.
No proper procedures or approvals to get things done, lacks leadership. No proper role and levels distinction. Promotions are very slow and kinda biased. Appraisal hike is very less for SDEs.

You don't need to work more than an hour or two most of the days.
Absolutely no growth whatsoever and even though workload is less, managers still call you in the night and on weekends for every minor thing. Getting leaves approved is also a pain.

Very many people have been asked to leave the organisation just because the planning has not been good and that there were no checkpoints to see where we are heading to. This is not new for companies but here at Tata Digital , it was all written on the wall but the leadership kept on waiting to lay off talent. My worst ever decision of professional life was to join this company thinking that it’s a company of values, “The TATA”. Just because of a bunch of people this organisation has become a nightmare , for last 2 years there has not been a weekend when we have not worked. We are fine working but wrong people are put to lead the efforts. They don’t just manipulate the reports to leadership but also misguided their own teams working in the ground. I have myself heard one of the leaders saying “these people will get jobs in 2weeks”, before handing over the pink slips. The wrongs decisions of the tech and planning teams have put so many lives and families on risk. It is a Tata company, so it continues to attract some good people too.
The culture is quite poor. While the new CEO seems to have made efforts to change things, the overall work culture still isn't great, as a lot of the previous leadership continue. Hope Ratan Tata's passing, makes people remember his spirit and values, and what it means to be a Tata company. Right now, I guess I'm not sure if we can say that we are.
