You don't need to work more than an hour or two most of the days.

Dislikes

Absolutely no growth whatsoever and even though workload is less, managers still call you in the night and on weekends for every minor thing. Getting leaves approved is also a pain.

Very many people have been asked to leave the organisation just because the planning has not been good and that there were no checkpoints to see where we are heading to. This is not new for companies but here at Tata Digital , it was all written on the wall but the leadership kept on waiting to lay off talent. My worst ever decision of professional life was to join this company thinking that it’s a company of values, “The TATA”. Just because of a bunch of people this organisation has become a nightmare , for last 2 years there has not been a weekend when we have not worked. We are fine working but wrong people are put to lead the efforts. They don’t just manipulate the reports to leadership but also misguided their own teams working in the ground. I have myself heard one of the leaders saying “these people will get jobs in 2weeks”, before handing over the pink slips. The wrongs decisions of the tech and planning teams have put so many lives and families on risk. Please read this and avoid joining this company at all costs- 1. Product department is led by ex-TCS person with zero Product acumen. New CEO has made Product team as extended Tech team 2. Financial Services is the only potential star for this company and you need to be in the close circle of ex-Indusind bankers to do anything 3. Tech team is pathetic and you will be blamed for their mistakes 4. Business is of small size and there is no money to deliver any new feature including hygiene changes 5. Culture of the company is worst - No transparency, lot of micro management, leaders are clueless of future, central decision making 6. Compensation is below average with no ESOPs (only senior leaders get it) 7. Do not expect to learn anything, there is no peer learning, best practice learning or structure learning 8. However, it appears that the CEO may be somewhat mislead by his direct reports. While he is a capable leader, the information and feedbacks he receives from seniors may not always reflect the sad state of affairs within the organization. This disconnect can create challenges in decision-making and strategey implementation. Senior staff accountability - the current challenges facing us can largely be attributed to the action and decisions of senior leadership. There is a growing sentiment among employees that this group bears a significant responsibility for the company's current predicament. The current company culture can be described as stagnant and fearful, with limited opportunities for growth and collaboration. Employees are expressing a desire for environment that fosters innovation, open dialog and mutual respect. A positive workspace culture is important for attracting and retaining top talent (which seems to be departing by busloads), and it is only important that the leadership redoubles their commitment to this important cultural pillar. 1. Work culture - everyone is a delivery manager. No one knows what work is to be done, how it is to be done. Employees are questioned whole taking their own leaves. Managers can be on leave for months, but we need to give explanations for 2 days leaves as well 2. Leadership - no respect for employees. Employees are considered labourers. 3. It is a Tata company, so it continues to attract some good people too.

Dislikes

The culture is quite poor. While the new CEO seems to have made efforts to change things, the overall work culture still isn't great, as a lot of the previous leadership continue. Hope Ratan Tata's passing, makes people remember his spirit and values, and what it means to be a Tata company. Right now, I guess I'm not sure if we can say that we are.
