Nothing to like really. You just get stuck in doing monotonous job

Dislikes

No learnings at all. Work culture is miserable. Asking to not come on a public holiday leads to targetting by your boss. No compensation for working on holidays. One has to work for 10-12 hours Monday to Saturday. You are asked to do work outside bank guidelines and no risk allowance/security assurance is given.

It is a reputed organisation and the largest public sector bank in India. The salary and perks are better as compared to other PSBs. There is job security.

Dislikes

Long sitting hours, lot of workload, seniors threatening to transfer/change posting, stress and pressure of completing targets, working on weekends and holidays. Huge customer base means a lot of customer dealing.

They call it Sarkari work culture, colloquially, in Indian workplaces. Bureaucratic work culture, i.e. They have 22000+ Branches in all sorts of creepy places imaginable in the country, for the sake of being Banker to every Indian. Most employees are ordinary graduates with zero to minus pedigree and compensate for their lack of Brains by showing bossism. Worst part is that the organisation is filled to the very core with मादरचोद Biharis, and they are in the process of, and eventually completely destroy whatever good is left in it. Targets are reality of all jobs in this country, but SBI was earlier known for being a little better in terms of bending rules to achieve them. SBI is the biggest bank of India. It has a huge customer base but at the same time due to the technology development is a need of an hour. Feels very proud while working with such a big institution which gives us a bread and butter.

Dislikes

Work Life balance is very essential. Which directly relates to job and mental satisfaction. You can't work free mindedly. Continuous work pressure for unproductive things have increased.

SBI is the organisation which has fulfilled all my goals of life. It helped me to o build wealth as well as took care of family by providing concessional loans to build house, purchase car, children's education, medical benefits and last but not the least to get me my life partner.

Dislikes

A few people/bosses come in your life who can make and break you. I had a mentor who shaped me and my career but on the other side in last years I got a horrible boss who was discriminate and ruined the remaining career and promotions. Bank should take care of such people also.
