I supported the district education system and its associated stakeholders and targeted the basic school process to improve the student's learning outcome continuously for 23 months. Some of the projects undertaken were - Learning Enhancement Program(LEP), Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), School Transformation Roadmap (STR), conducted twice district level assessment program for the students of government schools etc.
The two years of Gandhi fellowship was an amalgamation of learning, joy and pride. It was an opportunity to strengthen Government education system by enhancing their leadership skills of stakeholders for improving the ultimate students learning outcomes of the district. I worked with Block Education Officer (BEO), Block Resource Person (BRP) and 23 Cluster Resource Co-ordinators (CRCCs) and made plan through meetings and workshops for their schools from time to time. I worked with 199 Headmasters and 1947 teachers for 86,000+ students of 83 (41 primary and 42 middle) government schools in one the 18 blocks of the district. Since the last 2 months of the fellowship was affected due to covid-19 outbreak where everything was shut down. In that situation I took it as an opportunity and worked on creating awareness among senior citizen to prevent the spread of coronavirus through the campaign called Surakshit Dada Dadi Nana Nani Abhiyan (SDDNN) which was highly appreciated by NITI AAYOG. The freedom to choose and apply your unique idea. Those who want to gain experience in education sector it's good for them. Fellows work closely with the government stakeholders. There are self-growth process too like Vipasana, Learning Journey, Boot camps and Community Immersion.
Dislikes
There is a scope of improvement in the selection process of team. A more refine and well qualified fellows and supervisor are needed for better learning environment. Diverse backgrounds of people are there which sometimes tend to decrease efficiency in terms of getting everyone on the boat.

The best thing about working in this organisation is that you get to explore things on your own. Nobody's imposing their ideas on you and you get hands-on experience about work culture and skill sets you need to build.
