Work life balance, benifits are good.
Manager harrasment is too much. Few managers frame colleagues if they don't like or if they wrongly assess you. HR are tied up with managers first they always listen to managers. This hierarchy is misused by managers as HR will have soft corner on managers since there yearly review depends on manager. Few waste fellows have becomemanagers since it's like govt office they will make a gang and generate budget and milk money from company. Even though this show runs for 2-3 years they will be ready for new role and jump to new role or team. If Philips wants to come back to it's glory they need kill few insects who are killing company by there managerial skills. Good people don't fight and few third class cheap managers use this opportunity to kick some good people who are not favour to them. I have seen this many many times and with many managers. Good thing is too much Life balance and you will easily come to comfort zone.
Developers work is not good. You work on old technologies and multiple BUs have their old product and no proper KT is given and you are made to fix Defects, enhance an already built code snippet and visit medical center when there is new release/upgrade and fix the issue in once a while-weekend. They promised to move to cloud 2 years back(still after completing 2 years), they are still not in a state. You will easily loose touch of whatever you had learned before coming to Philips. Job security after Covid - 2022 has become worse. They pay you well, but you will be in a shock once they inform you that you have notice period left and to search outside.
