Philips is a product based company. It is one of the best to work in Healthcare domain if it is your interest of work or you have experience in Healthcare Tech. Good basic benefits what a corporate should have. Work-life balance is very well.
Software Development is very slow. Lots of processes, check and Documentation is involved half of which are not necessary at all. Currently Philips is in a bad phase with losses in their revenue which has resulted in no or less annual bonuses, no appraisals throught out the company. Too much of layoffs in 2022-2023 without any proper future proof reason of layoffs. The PIC Bengaluru is not in a good condition with their management and HR policies. Strict 3 days of attendance in Hybrid model but they lack basic infrastructure like chair, tables, workstations, seating area, cafeteria for the employees. It becomes a fish market when all of the employees are present in the campus because of less capacity. The cafeteria in itself is a huge scam and let down. Good thing is too much Life balance and you will easily come to comfort zone.
Developers work is not good. You work on old technologies and multiple BUs have their old product and no proper KT is given and you are made to fix Defects, enhance an already built code snippet and visit medical center when there is new release/upgrade and fix the issue in once a while-weekend. They promised to move to cloud 2 years back(still after completing 2 years), they are still not in a state. You will easily loose touch of whatever you had learned before coming to Philips.
