Very bad culture at PM 1,2 and SPM levels. It's an engineering/service focussed company rather than a product company (b2c). Join at principal level if thinking of product roles. For software developers great company to work for.

I am from Microsoft IGD, the Culture here is same as like any other typical consulting firm, for outside world it is looks like Product team, but they are cheating with this IGD sub section of Microsoft. Its better they should not loose their credibility by saying One Microsoft.

IC’s have say than the people manager even if they are on the wrong side. Employee Signals is used as a means of retaliation than providing a genuine feedback. Teams use this as a means to threaten managers and do more of time pass than actual work

This company has been plagued with Bad leadership and managenet in the post COVID times, it feels so disappointing to see this company becoming what it is today after begin here for more than a decade just for the great culture and values that's almost nonexistent now. Almost all the managers these days have been hired cheaply fromIndian companies, these people lack basic etiquette and bring their toxic culture to the along, has made the culture exteremely Toxic and Political. Employee Satisfaction and Welfare are not the priority anymore and the company is now is only chasing profits after the bad investment decision to fund OpenAI all the funding has been directed to build AI and acquire GPUs, there hasn't been any appraisals since the past 2-3 years and the employees are being forced to accept dry promotions without any hike in pay but responsibilities with the expectation to perform without an boost to Morale or appreciation for your hard work. All talks of being a Growth Minded organization ring Hollow and fake as there is no growth in Microsoft (India) anymore. Its no more the old Microsoft which was known for cultural and work life balance. Its rotten by the politics and bad culture. Its just a hire and fire company now. Make sure you learn politics before entering in. Best would be to stay away from Microsoft India.
