There are different types of work here. The GIS/ Mapping Division has slow growth as there honestly aint anything extravagant to do with base level mapping and so on. The work tends to be boring and repetitive. Work timing is strict and there is a monthly cycle of data finalisation, which can be stressful. People often have mentioned how one only gets promoted if they can butter the management but this was not the case for me, I got promoted early enough, only did hard work and some extra contributions that made me stand out. After 3 years, I was promoted to second floor which is Product/Project Support Department and this is where all the learning opportunities, project exposure etc happens and the actual growth. Project deadlines, issue solving etc. ofcourse can be stressful but there are enough help. There is a bit flexibility in timing on 2nd floor atleast. I would personally say, the management is good. Hard word do get noticed but it has to be something different from what everyone else is capable of doing (writing skills, utilisation of education background etc)....Read More

Dislikes

-The 9.5 hour timing tends to get exhausting. -First Saturday of month is working. -Spending extra hour at work is praised, which is not a detrimental measure of hard work. -Increment is not too high (unless senior level as much as I know). -Not much bonuses.
