before merger Mindtree was great company to work in, but after the merger there is nothing good going on here

We were supposed to get a promotion in Jan 2023, then They cancelled the promotion cycle without informing us. they told us that we'll get it in April. This is end of April and now they again cancelled it and said it will be given in July. they are making fool out of employees and taking advantage of us. The job is quite interesting! I join here as fresher I got training in Java which is very useful for me. I got chance to work on different modules in same project which helps me to grow faster in this IT industry with lot of skills.

Well there are a lot of opportunities to change projects inside this company. The chances of travelling onsite depends upon your project. Overall you do have a sense of job surity.

Dislikes

The chances to grow as an individual are very limited, no proper trainings for new technologies or even on job trainings. The appraisal process doesn't matter how much they say that it is "TRANSPARENT" I for one have always found it to be dubious.

They will provide you with Training on the latest technologies. You can prepare for another job like civil service exams while you are on Bench. For at least 1 year no one will ask about your performance so you can utilize that time in exam preparation in their library if you have a passion for civil services ;).

Top-level Management is the worst. They have no idea of using resources. Will randomly pick you for any project even if you are not trained in it.

There is one review cycle in 1 year. The best thing about Mindtree is their Kalinga training that does not have any comparison. Leave policies are great, you will get 20 casual leaves and 30 medical leaves and 10 holidays. Work culture is typical 9 to 6 and job security depends on your project work I've heard people who were laid off as they were not staffed in any project and we're on bench. I personally did not like the company policy at the time of promotion one of the policy was from the same pay scale if it is an early promotion bracket open good performance done at that time only 1 out of 2 /3 /4 will be chosen for promotion.

Dislikes

I do not like the appraisal policies/schemes and internal politics. Recognition awards are usually given to the higher management within themselves. Level hardly recognize your efforts until you are about to leave the company.

Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent. There is a huge cafeteria and gaming arcade for chilling. Company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.

Dislikes

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn’t address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 years before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not given to new joinees.

The job is quite interesting! I struggled a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job. I got a chance to wear multiple hats and that helped me get a taste of different roles within the same team.
