The design partner role offers freedom to work as a freelance designer. But because of the high prices of Livspace's vendors and contractors as compared to the market I couldn't crack any client and thus couldn't earn much.

Dislikes

Compensation percentage is fine but their contractor rates are high so its difficult to ceack clients.

The only good thing about the company is that you get to design home for your clients, no mandatory approval is needed from your seniors as compared to other companies where you need approvals from your seniors/directors/managers.

Dislikes

Job security is not there. If you achieve your targets you can be in the company if not, then they will keep you on PIP for a month if still you could not achieve your targets they will ask you to resign. I don't think they should treat an Designer like that because Designers are not Sales people. They should look into this and should define roles as per the professions and not just treat every professional as a Sales Person. Also the processes keeps on changing, once you get hang on the process it is changed again and then again you get a hang of the new process it gets changed again... which is very frustrating. Also if the project gets escalated there are no. of people from whom you have to follow up with which takes a hell lot of time and in the process the client gets irritated and go on social media to highlight the issue because the issue is not solved Intime. Also they should work on processes, because the time which is taken to start a project in that time half of the work can get completed. They do not adhere to the timelines and very unrealistic timelines are there to complete a project. and the list just goes on and on...........Read More

Absolutely nothing. They only hire fresh graduates with the pretext of good salaries (which is very difficult for a architect/interior designer to otherwise find in the market). They do not check their experience or how many projects he/she might have worked on. The only qualification you need to have to work with Livspace is look pretty, be presentable and be able to communicate in English.

Dislikes

They are too expensive for the modular industry. Most of their rates are 3X the normal market rates. According to their policies they take 100% payment before the projects end but still, all of their vendors have never received full payments.
