What I about Konkola copper Mines Plc is that its in hand in hand with the Government in terms of Precautionary measures regarding COVID-19. Working culture isn't that effective but I like the Company policies for COVID-19 such as KCM -LP-86 which emphasizes on COVID-19 control measures. Thanks

Safety is number one at KCM, electrical standards are ok, perfect tools for the right job, job security was there, and management understand the requirements for every employee.

Dislikes

Walking long distance underground with the bag of tools, too much water underground, sometimes knocking off late because of the cage. No proper time of knocking off especially for underground workers.

The company is open to innovation and readily adopts latest technology. I love the fact that I am a part of a team that works on having highly reliable equipment for process and mining operations , while meeting set production targets. Another plus point is that my colleagues come from various cultural backgrounds, and we work happily in collaboration. I also like the employee re-hire policy here.

Konkola Copper Mines has state of the art technology boasting of three modern Concentrators and world class Smelter.

Dislikes

The three business Units are running as one conglomerate. I feel this must be changed so that each business units accounts for its operations and profitability.

Work at KCM is very exciting as each day comes with new challenges. As manager I have flexibility to make decisions affecting Plants within my jurisdiction i.e. Concentrator, Leaching/SX/EW Plant and Engineering Support Services.
