This is about like and dislikes. also. Indian Railways is setting up installing modern machineries and technologies , that is good but no expertise/trained employees to operate it to get full satisfaction from the modern technologies. No strong maintainance facilities for which after a few time the same are thrown out as waist materials. Very pathetic. Secondly, the circulars and rules are not very clear to manage the day today affairs, causing differtial opinions and execution of the circular/Rules differently at many places. Persons working perfectly are not getting proper Promotion/benefits etc.etc. Being a vast organisation, it is now turning to be Hirarchy like management as in private companies....Read More

Employees working on different departments in some quota appointments, may not be expert and not interested to work, Load of the total work falls on the middle person who is answerable to the Officer. Comments of the Officer will be " he can not do this, you do this" by any means. It is bad. Some persons near to the higher bosses are also enjoys the relaxation of duty despite of their posted in the responsible seats. This is bad....Read More

Job security aspect is great, Adequate initial and periodic training for job, Good career growth with time bound broadly assured promotion till significantly senior position except few top posts, Salary and perks little on lower side from Average Industry level, Work environment involves mix of team work n broadly authoritative leadership style, Due to 24X7 running of train, leaves are not sanctioned and casual leave/Earned leave/Sick leave gets lapsed without compensation and family life suffers....Read More

Due to 24×7 running of trains, field staff and officers are denied genuine leaves which negatively affects personal and family life. Further denial of genuine leaves means earned leave is lapses without compensation making it double loss, Work environment is broadly authoritative, communication is from top to bottom only and no feedback from lower/middle/senior level staff, supervisor n officer taken to improve working conditions or to change in official rules causing impediment n delay or to change terms n conditions of employee-employer relationship or working conditions, needing to beg people fir sanction of entitled perks, highly centralised working n policy making....Read More
