It is a disciplined life. One has a brotherhood feelings and helpful nature to support each other. There is a good career growth but, the pyramid is very steep and have a number of challenges-physical as well as professional to face. The salary is pretty good with a number of other benefits and secured life for the family. Be prepared to do a lot of travel. Depending upon the situation you may have an opportunity to work in a foreign country, which is quite a rare chance. Dislikes

Every organisation have certain work culture depending upon the individual behaviour and organisational culture. Certainly, I would like to mention about the disparity with the short service Officers in the Army with quite a lot of them and not every one.

Indian Army is a multi tasking organisation with unlimited work conditions from the plains to deserts, mountains, high altitude one has to work in vivid conditions from the coldest area in world to the high temperatures of the desert, Jungles & Rescue

1. Horrible work life balance. May cause immense stress of family and marriage. Significant other needs to understand the service requirements well. 2. Can be posted in areas of extremely poor connectivity 3. Loneliness in many postings. If you're an extreme extrovert, it may not be for you. 4. Availing leave is difficult. Though authorised 60 days annual leave and 20 days of casual leave. Leave for officer's is generally overlooked and granted with reluctance. I feel proud that I served the Nation. The buddy system is like an family. There is no so much travel involved, however local travel is deemed upon day to day requirement. In Army our colleagues are from throughout the country and all religions, we enjoy with each other like a family.

Dislikes

I enjoyed the journey. Question of dislike does not arise. However, the compensation is good but growths is slightly slow.

Work Details

The work experience in the Indian Army is very challenging. We have to plan our next day work, brief teammates & ensue executions. To work with seniors as well as colleagues is a great experience.
