Dear HSCian, We would like to start by thanking you for your contributions at HSC and are glad that you found the management and the food to be “good” at HSC. It is extremely unfortunate that you had to resort to publishing vague, misguiding and misleading statements for the readers of this review. Since you are still a part of the HSC family, you must be aware that HSC has been appraised with CMMi level – 5 certification for the three domains of Development, Services and People and is also the first organisation in the world to be appraised so. Such certifications are awarded after rigorous audits, checks and ensuring that the organisation is adhering to the policies and procedures. By extension of that, all our interactions, processes and even communications are guided by the laid down policies & procedures. Hence, your claims regarding the lack of policies are not only unsubstantial but are also irrational. However, yes, we do agree that there are times when just like any other software and engineering services company, customer & at times, phase of the project do influence our working routine. That is why HSC has a policy on flexible working hours, which by definition, explains that we do not observe strict office timings. As you must also be knowing that the Flexi Time policy helps ensure that HSCians get break to rejuvenate themselves after extended hours. We would encourage you to kindly talk to your manager, Engineering Group head, the Engineering Head or for that matter with Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, for not only you have developed misconceptions about the financial stability of the company but have also misconstrued the lack of interaction as “Manager not listening”. As you must be knowing that HSCians can also leverage internal platforms like AI powered – Amber, Q2M, Zero Hour etc. to share your concerns or suggestions anonymously if you wish so. But since you have no inclination towards knowing about the organisation’s policies or platforms, we understand why you must have missed out on knowing about the internal platforms. Nevertheless, we wish many more years of your happy association with HSC.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your approving review on the opportunities, latest technology and the management of Hughes Systique. We are glad that you have found working at HSC to be a beneficial experience. However, addressing a few points from your review’s “dislikes” section, we would like through you the readers of the review to note that as an organization we believe in continuous learning and growth of our engineers. For the uninformed, HSC supports inter-project movements where engineers have an opportunity to work in areas of their interest. It is our sentiment to support the engineers who take the initiative on themselves for their learning & growth, with the organization providing them all the support that they need. The “doers” always stand out. Nonetheless, on a broader and organisational level, every year the learning objectives and plans for the current year are agreed with the manager & supported by HR. The learning could happen through the year in multiple ways – Classroom training, Online trainings, Reading Books/Papers, etc, on on-job assignments. Engineers are encouraged to take online courses & certifications, and on successful completion all cost is completely refunded by HSC. Kindly also note that the Centres Of Excellence (CoEs) publish assignments & PoC that can be taken up by engineers along with the regular work to learn technology areas. For your comment on processes, they provide us a framework for development and having practices to monitor progress & ensure timely completion of work. We continuously review process to ensure that processes are not an overhead, remove redundant processes and wherever possible automate the processes. Finally, addressing your observation on the “timesheet”, we hope you have noticed that with the new update and the launch of the app in December 2022, the time taken to fill in the timesheet has been reduced to seconds. We would have encouraged you to talk to your manager, engineering group head or engineering had you continued working with us and learn more about the CoEs & other learning avenues at HSC to help clear your misunderstanding. But nevertheless, we wish you the best and thank you for your contributions at HSC.

Dear HSCian, Thank you for sharing your positive review on the opportunities provided to our employees. Saying that, by your own admission that opportunity to work in newer fields is provided to employees, you are contradicting the comment made in the dislikes section of the review. If freshers are provided the opportunity to work on new tech and in new domains, then logically why would an organisation not give such opportunity to employees who have invested their time and have been in the organisation for a longer tenure? A PCMM & CMMi Level-5 certified organisation, with a legacy of over 16 years cannot be where it is right now in this competitive sector by limiting the learning opportunities of its workforce. We would also like you to know that at HSC, our dedicated Learning & Development team schedules various comprehensive trainings from time to time with active inputs from the Engineering team recommending the topics to be covered. We encourage you to leverage those trainings aligning with your areas of interest. Also, HSC encourages self-learning for HSCians to learn at their pace using the training content available online. You can also speak to your manager, engineering group head or engineering head, share your areas of interest & seek their guidance to map your growth path. Centres of Excellence at HSC can immensely add to your learning experience as well. You are also advised to keep on a lookout for Internal Job Postings open for all and apply for a role you are willing to be a part of. Through you we would also like to inform the readers of the review that there are multiple factors considered for movement of an engineer to different project or domain. Relevant skills and the impact on the current project of the seeking employee are a few of the notable factors taken into consideration.
