Learning opportunities are decided by line managers even though the courses may be open to all.this is a huge deterrent to one's growth.I also see a lot of bias in recognizing performance or contribution.Facilities can be improved at the Kolkata site with better building condition,adding a gym & maybe putting more greenery inside the building instead of the plastic flowers I see around
Hectic as productivity targets are insanely high.one hardly gets time to check emails let alone careers or growth intranet.

I am little unsure. As I said, you should know about your company well. My Mother was not keeping well. So I wasn't not able to concentrate on my job. However Leads and Management should be more open in terms of employees. Example in my case I finished all leaves. My Manager would have suggested me about other alternatives when we were in the HR meeting about my schedule adihirence. She should have suggested me to go for some alternative when I accepted for resignation. It's not her fault . I little upset because my manager would have reacted little more proactive. Work culture is good. Good amount of work pressure. There is no issue regarding taking your leaves. They encourage you to utilize your leaves.
Since its a hybrid working now, very minimum flexibility give to the relocated employees. Increments are not as expected. Work wise its ok. No data science is actually involved in the team that I work in. The opportunities for learning and career growth are very less.

Depending upon the team work life balance will be good. Lots of IJP options for career betterment. Lots of learning opportunities. The hike after clearing IJP is matched with the minimum level of the new grade. In many cases the hike percentage is comparable to hikes in switching to a new job. I have seen hikes between 20% to even 70%. It depends upon which dept you join.
Don't join at starting levels in this company. Minimum join as an assistant manager. Work life balance in a lot of operations and call centres in hsbc is bad for new joiners. Not all departments though.
