This feedback is specifically for HP R&D Center Bengaluru (Pritech Park Office) it is for Print R&D business. The culture is completely changed from what it used to be earlier. I've worked with HP for over 15 years and until last 2 years it was good. Only thing I like about HP is , if you work (get a chance ) for other entities/groups/department and work for global function, then the work culture is good. HP has multiple entities/departments/groups - R&D Center, Workforce & Strategy, D&TO etc. I have worked for more than 15 years in RCB (R&D Center, Bengaluru, Pritech Park Office) and my 13 years were so good there, but to change in management in last 2 years, lot of politics is happening. Section Mangers supports only obsequious (buttering) experts, managers and they work like a syndicate. They are not afraid of HR also as HR is not so powerful at HP. If you are ousted from a project or if one manager is spreading negatives about you then they all have one protocol, that other managers won't take you in their projects because of the solidarity, fear or syndicate. This is happening despite the candidate is a good resource/has great relevant competency and absolutely zero attitude/behavior issues. I tried to change the entity/department within HP secretly and got selected into another department where things are pretty much fine. The managers, section managers , even try to block your movement to other teams. They try to identify and target employees who probably would have given low score in VIA (company's internal survey for overall HP process, practices and feedback). This is ridiculous as they never afraid of HR also because HR never conducts an skip level, even if they conduct, no action would be taken against managers. It is something like Manager, Section Manager are God and you need to worship them and do not give your counterview as they take things personally and on their ego, then seek revenge. Working for HP for over 15 years, I felt very humiliated at R&D Center Bengaluru(Pritech Park office) but I took a chance to work in another department as I didn't have any other option at that time. No one is cooperative. If you can manipulate things, or can speak lies, then definitely join hp. But if you are hard working, dedicated and honest, please donot join hp. Everything is hp is lies
