HP India - Android Platform Validation Engineer - System Integration (6-9 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Android Platform Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Android Platform Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating Android platforms across a variety of hardware and software configurations.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the Android platform performs to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Android development, testing methodologies, and experience in validating complex systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute test cases for validating Android platforms across different devices and configurations.

- Work with Android operating systems and tools to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify platform issues, report bugs, and validate bug fixes.

- Perform system-level testing of Android platform features, including OS integration, security

features, UI, and hardware interactions.

- Analyze Android system logs, debug issues, and provide detailed reports on defects.

- Create and maintain automated test scripts for repeatable and efficient validation processes.

- Conduct stress and performance testing to ensure platform stability under various conditions.

- Work with developers to continuously improve test coverage and automation.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to development teams to enhance testability.

- Stay updated with the latest Android technologies, trends, and industry best practices.

- Contribute to the creation of test plans and strategies for new product releases.

Required Qualifications :

- 5 10 years of experience.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent

work experience.

- Proven experience in Android platform testing and validation, including system-level testing and debugging.

- Strong understanding of Android OS architecture, including Linux-based systems.

- Hands-on experience with Android debugging tools (e.g., Android Studio, ADB, Logcat, etc.).
