GKD is a German based company having joint venture with Indian company WMW. But in India it is totally run by Indian family without any interference of German people. Once you are hired,you have to work for both WMW & GKD. They aspire to be an international company but culture is totally boss centeric where you can not do anything wi thout permission of company’s MD. Role of Production HOD is only that to remind your work which is given by MD in daily Gemba meeting and put a pressure on you that if he will get angry,will fire you.(Do not expect any support from HOD,He wants to save his job only). Also if the HOD doesn’t like you,He tells his close people to pass the information indirectly to you that your work is not satisfactory and they will fire you. Also they fired people in probation period without any prior notice. They consider FY Apr-March for increment but implement in July and give you in October based on your balance score card performance (Avg increment is 7-8%).
